Catalog description

Culminating study in sport and entertainment management in which students integrate knowledge of management, marketing, finance, sponsorship, and operations through the planning and organization of an entertainment or sport event/project. Topics include alignment of events with organizational mission and values, strategic planning, stakeholder management, budgeting, partnerships, promotion, audience development, revenue and cost centers, operational effectiveness, and evaluation of pre- and post-event activities. Prerequisite: MGT 310 and MGT 340 ; and undergraduate business majors must be admitted to degree program; others by permission of instructor.
