Catalog description

This course offers an examination of the global dimensions of the entertainment and sport industries. The course includes a study of the structures, governance models, markets, cultural influences, and business practices that shape entertainment and sport across international settings and through global events hosted in the United States. Additionally, special emphasis is placed on global trends, cross-cultural considerations, international audiences, media distribution, events, and the opportunities and challenges faced by organizations operating in an increasingly interconnected industry environment. Prerequisite: undergraduate business majors must be admitted to degree program.
