Catalog description

This course examines the art of mixing in sound post-production, focusing on how to craft an engaging sonic experience for the audience. Students will refine advanced sound editing skills while learning to shape the artistic presentation of audio through signal processing and mixing techniques. The course also introduces mixing engineering and mastering for a range of distribution formats, including stereo, binaural, and surround sound. May be taught concurrently with MED 661. Cannot receive credit for both MED 561 and MED 661. Prerequisite: MED 461 .
