Catalog description

This course introduces the art and craft of sound design and editing for motion pictures. Students will explore the post-production workflow, focusing on three key categories of sound: dialogue (production audio), sound effects, and music. Both aesthetic and technical considerations will be addressed in the selection, placement, and preparation of sounds for mixing. Through practical projects, students will gain experience following professional sound editing procedures used in film and other media. Prerequisite: MED 361 .
