Catalog description
This course explores the creative potential of sound in studio and post-production environments, with a focus on sound design for motion pictures. Students will learn to identify and create both diegetic and non-diegetic sounds, including ADR and Foley, to enhance and enrich movie soundtracks. Essential recording, editing, and mixing technologies, workflows, and techniques will be taught through a series of designated hands-on projects aimed at improving storytelling through sound. Prerequisite: MED 361 .
