Catalog description

A study of works reflecting the Roman way of life outside the political arena, including personal letters of Pliny, the Roman novel (Petronius and Apuleius), and the Philosopher’s mediations on friendship, old age, and other aspects of the human condition (Cicero, Seneca). Variable content course. May be repeated, as content changes, to a maximum of six hours. Prerequisite: LTN 202 .
