-3 This course is designed to provide students an opportunity to informally assess and tutor adults or children exhibiting literacy difficulties. Students are expected to have an increased awareness and understanding pertaining to literacy and to recognize the importance of improving the educational process of adults and children. Number of class hours determined by semester hours of credit. Cannot be substituted for any required reading/literacy course. May be repeated to a maximum of three hours. May be taught concurrently with LTC 600. Cannot receive credit for both LTC 599 and LTC 600.
