This course examines the legal aspects of financial transactions under the Uniform Commercial Code and relevant laws in today’s business and personal affairs. Topical areas covered are negotiable instruments including commercial paper, banking, types of debt collection and methods, secured transactions, and bankruptcy. Prerequisite: LAW 231 ; undergraduate business majors must be admitted to degree program.
