Catalog description
Emphasizes nature and scope of physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities; referral, placement, and programming in physical education; federal and state laws that pertain to the education and physical education of special populations; and instruction in the modification of motor and fitness activities, and therapeutic exercise. Three hours of directed practicum per week. Exercise and Movement Science majors are required to earn a C grade or better in this course. A C grade or better is required in this course in order to take KIN 493 or KIN 496 . May be taught concurrently with KIN 668. Cannot receive credit for both KIN 468 and KIN 668. Prerequisite: C grade or better in KIN 360 and KIN 362 ; and cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better for EMS majors and a combined (Missouri State and transfer) GPA of 2.75 or higher for Physical Education majors.
