Catalog description

Instruction and practice in news gathering techniques for television. Students will learn the basics of video production (shooting, editing, lighting, etc.) and reporting as well as advanced storytelling techniques, including solo reporting, recording natural sound packages, and live shot production and reporting. Emphasis is placed on gaining expertise in shooting and editing techniques as they apply to news. Prerequisite: JRN 381 .
