Catalog description

An investigation into the textiles, furniture, and lighting design factors for interior spaces. Textile design, application, performance, and sustainability will be examined. The process for furniture selection including specifications, placement, and upholstery selection will be studied for commercial and residential interiors. Lastly, the impacts of lighting design on interior design will be studied including areas such as ambient lighting, task lighting, decorative lighting, architectural lighting, light sources, fixture schedules, reflected ceiling plans, and more. Prerequisite: IDC 201 or concurrent enrollment.
