Catalog description

This course will focus on the origins and development of various ethnonational and sectarian conflicts in the Middle East during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. This includes the Armenian question, the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, and the Kurdish issue. May be taught concurrently with HST 643. Cannot receive credit for both HST 543 and HST 643. Prerequisite: 50 hours.
