Catalog description

This course surveys the territorial, economic, cultural, and political expansion of the United States from the founding of the country through the 20th century. Topics include the ideology, methods, and effects of expansion, with particular attention on the cultural interactions that resulted from expansion and the ways in which expansion affected American culture and Society. Recommended Prerequisite: HST 121 or HST 122 .
