Catalog description

A hands-on exploration of Earth’s atmosphere, weather phenomena, and changes in climate. This course includes a series of practical activities that involve analyzing atmospheric data to test hypotheses, often in the form of weather or climate forecasts. Topics include atmospheric structure and circulation, evolution of storm systems, precipitation processes, cloud formation, weather hazards, and mechanisms of climate change. Prerequisite: GRY 137 or concurrent enrollment.
