Catalog description
A comprehensive study of the origin and distribution of gem deposits; including plate tectonics, the mineralogy and chemistry of gem minerals, the formation and exploration of gem deposits. Additionally, basic economic geology conceptions will be discussed. Prerequisite: GLG 110 ; and GLG 115 or GLG 114 .
