Supervised Practicum in Aging Services

-9 Supervised field experience in aging services settings, including direct care, health care, policy, advocacy, research, and community-based organizations serving older adults and their families. Individualized learning objectives focus on applying knowledge of adult development and aging to professional practice. Includes reflective assignments integrating theory with field experience. Students complete 45 clock hours per credit hour under supervision of qualified professionals. May be repeated to a maximum of 9 hours. Public Affairs Capstone Experience course. Prerequisite: GER 180 with grade of C or better; and 12 additional hours in GER courses with C grade or better in each; and permission from the practicum coordinator.
