Catalog description

Examines physical health, wellness, and functional changes across the adult lifespan with emphasis on later life. Takes a health promotion and applied approach to understanding age-related changes in major body systems, common chronic conditions, strategies for disease prevention, physical activity and nutrition, sleep and rest, pain management, and adaptations supporting physical function and independence. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass. Prerequisite: GER 180 or 100-level Biology or Biomedical Sciences course.
