Catalog description

This course provides students with the basic elements of global studies and introduces them to a series of public issues related to globalization in order to make them educated persons who have global awareness. In the course, students will develop competencies through the multi-disciplinary study of transnational processes and issues, related to topics such as geography, culture, climate change, social welfare, international politics, trade, and economics. This course encourages students to engage in creative and critical thinking, to synthesize and integrate data, and contemplate possible solutions to many societal aspects linked to globalization. Prerequisite: 12 hours.
