Catalog description

This course focuses on specific issues in Francophone linguistics. Topics may include the study of French in its social and political contexts, French phonetics and phonology, French syntax and morphology, language variation and change in the French-speaking world, historical perspectives, and developments in theoretical and applied French linguistics. May be taught concurrently with FRN 624. Cannot receive credit for both FRN 524 and FRN 624. Prerequisite: FRN 324 .
