Service-Learning in French

Catalog description

This service-learning component for the existing French curriculum incorporates community service with classroom instruction to provide an integrative learning experience that addresses the practice of citizenship and promotes an awareness of and participation in public affairs. Includes 40 hours of service providing instruction or other community service in the Springfield-area schools and other community groups. May be repeated. Prerequisite: 30 hours; and concurrent registration in a French course at the 202 level or above.
