Catalog description
A specialized survey of linguistics intended for graduate and advanced undergraduate students. Areas covered include, but are not limited to, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse, pragmatics, language change, and language variation. Students cannot receive credit for both ENG 296 and ENG 591. May be taught concurrently with ENG 691. Cannot receive credit for both ENG 591 and ENG 691. Prerequisite: 60 hours.
