Clinical Experiences in Teaching

Catalog description

Conducted teaching activities by students during aiding/assisting experiences, under the direction of the cooperating teacher and permission of a designated school principal, are verified as comparable to and demonstrating similar competencies of those expected by conventional student teachers. Students also participate in professional development activities, determined to be appropriate by the instructor. This course is credited only on BSEd or appropriate master’s-level certification programs. Prerequisite: approved application to earn academic credit for two (2) years experience as a Teacher’s Aide/Assistant, as permitted by DESE Rule 5 CSR 80-805.
