Catalog description

Begins exploring the disposition toward inquiry needed for ongoing self-development, and focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to infuse culturally and linguistically responsive curriculum. Students will gain an understanding of their professional role in strengthening respectful, collaborative family/child partnerships through effective use of community and family resources. An emphasis will be on learning from families and focusing on how best to support culturally and linguistically diverse young children and their families. May be taught concurrently with ECE 675. Cannot receive credit for both ECE 575 and ECE 675. Prerequisite: EDC 345 .
