Supervised Teaching (Early Childhood Education)

Catalog description
Students will observe then teach under the supervision of the cooperating teacher and university supervisor. Participation in extra-curricular activities and other duties as assigned by the cooperating teacher and university supervisor. Students will be involved in the development of lessons, materials, and units appropriate for children in primary settings. In order to receive a grade in this course, the student’s professional portfolio must meet or exceed final criteria. Prerequisite: all program courses except CFD 560 , CFD 563 , and ECE 575 , which may be taken with or at the completion of supervised teaching; current pre-professional liability insurance; and approval for supervised teaching.
