Introduction to Early Childhood Education

Catalog description

An overview of professionalism in the early childhood education field; being a reflective practitioner, integrating play and inquiry-based learning, formatting professional materials, personalizing teaching for children with exceptionalities, learning culturally sustaining pedagogy, and exploring the early childhood professional code of ethics. Initial public school field experience of 30 clock hours. Prerequisite: CFD 260 or concurrent enrollment; and declared Early Childhood Education major.
