Music Resources for Dancers

Catalog description

A study of music for dance. Students will explore music from various times/cultures in terms of form, rhythm (meter, syncopation, subdivision), texture, mood, and instrumentation. Students will be introduced to new musical resources and an enhanced musical awareness, tools critical for the student’s artistic growth. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
