Catalog description
Convex sets, classical optimization of functions, constrained optimization, search techniques, linear and nonlinear optimization, applications to applied problems. May be taught concurrently with CSC 626. Cannot receive credit for both CSC 526 and CSC 626. Prerequisite: CSC 421 or MTH 421 ; and MTH 314 or MTH 315 .
