Catalog description

This course offers an introduction to AI for students from all disciplines, regardless of technical background. Students will explore fundamental concepts in machine learning, generative AI, image recognition, natural language processing, etc. while examining how these technologies are shaping society. Through a combination of conceptual learning, hands-on activities, and interdisciplinary discussions, the course emphasizes both the opportunities and challenges AI presents across fields such as business, healthcare, the arts, and public policy. Special attention is given to ethical considerations, including issues of bias, privacy, and regulation. Cannot be taken Pass/Not Pass. Prerequisite: 12 hours.
