Post-Conviction Justice Clinic

Catalog description

This course provides hands-on, real world experience to students charged with re-investigating cases of currently incarcerated defendants seeking post-conviction relief and making claims of actual innocence to the Midwest Innocence Project (University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law). With particular emphasis on the examination of forensic evidence, students will evaluate various aspects of each case, ultimately creating a detailed and science-based report of their findings. Prerequisite: CRM 314 .
