Fundamentals of chemical analysis and basic statistics; solution equilibria, fundamentals of spectrophotometric, chromatographic, and electrochemical methods. Laboratory includes both wet chemical and instrumental methods. Representative analyses are performed in laboratory. Prerequisite: C- grade or better in CHM 170 and CHM 171 .
