Catalog description

Examination of the structure and function of families in later life. Topics of interest include demographic trends impacting the structure of the family, marriage, sibling relations, parent-adult child relations, grandparenthood, widowhood, and retirement. The application of family theories and their relevance to later life families will be discussed. Identical with GER 366 , PSY 366 and SWK 365 . Can only receive credit for one of following: CFD 365, GER 366 , PSY 366 or SWK 365 . Prerequisite: PSY 121 ; and CFD 155 or CFD 163 or 30 hours.
