Structure and function of the gastrointestinal system including pathophysiology of common clinical conditions. May be taught concurrently with BMS 671. Cannot receive credit for both BMS 571 and BMS 671. Prerequisite: C grade or better in BMS 308 , or C grade or better in BMS 542 or concurrent enrollment.
