Catalog description

Overview of the aspects of pharmacology including: pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, drug selectivity, toxicity, metabolism, drug development, and drug regulation. Additionally, an overview of the major classification of drugs and their mechanisms of action will be presented. May be taught concurrently with BMS 670. Cannot receive credit for both BMS 570 and BMS 670. Prerequisite: C grade or better in BMS 308 or BMS 442 or BMS 521 or BIO 361 .
