Catalog description

A mentored experience in teaching within the Biomedical Sciences. Students will serve as undergraduate learning assistants (ULAs) in a BMS course(s) collaborating with the instructor and teaching assistants for 3-4 hours a week. Students will be required to attend a university pedagogical workshop and weekly sessions for discussion on pedagogical principles in addition to their weekly BMS course assignment. Intended for students interested in developing classroom leadership skills. Public Affairs Capstone Experience course. Prerequisite: admitted to major in the School of Health Sciences; and 60 hours; and permission of course director.
