Marine Science for Teachers I

Catalog description

A course designed to introduce students, particularly inservice teachers, to the study of marine science and to promote the teaching of marine biology at all grade levels. Must be taken at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. May be taught concurrently with BIO 621. Cannot receive credit for both BIO 521 and BIO 621. Prerequisite: 12 hours in biology; and concurrent enrollment in BIO 522 . Corequisite: BIO 522
