Visual Culture of Sex, Gender, and Sexuality

Catalog description

This course addresses the visibility and opacity of representations of sex, gender, and sexuality in art history, visual culture, and their institutions across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. May be counted toward the Gender Studies minor. May be taught concurrently with ART 676. Cannot receive credit for both ART 476 and ART 676. Prerequisite: ART 271 or ART 272 .
