Catalog description
This course critically examines the interconnected modern world using theories, methods, case studies, and concepts developed in cultural anthropology. Students will explore how economic exchanges, new media, human migration, knowledge flows, and other dimensions of globalization are variously experienced in diverse parts of the world by tracing global structures of power and mobility. Prerequisite: ANT 100 or ANT 303 or permission of instructor.
