Catalog description

This course prepares preservice agricultural education teachers to effectively teach, manage, and supervise Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs within secondary agricultural education. Students will learn how to guide high school students in developing, maintaining, and documenting their SAE projects through accurate financial and production records, performance tracking, and goal setting. The course also explores methods for teaching students to apply for FFA awards and degrees, including the State and American FFA Degrees and Proficiency Awards . May be taught concurrently with AGE 678. Cannot receive credit for both AGE 448 and AGE 678. Prerequisite: AGE 318 ; and 60 hours. Corequisite: AGE 458 .
