Catalog description

Introduction to the economic theory, organization, and operating principles of agricultural commodity futures markets. The course will give students the opportunity to explore, through theory and practice, the relationship between cash, futures, basis, exchange and local contracts, and other course concepts. Emphasis is placed on speculating, hedging, and investing in agricultural markets. Recommended Prerequisite: AGB 334 .
