Playwriting I

Catalog description

Fall 3 Credit Hours Introduces students to the fundamentals of playwriting, emphasizing structure, dialogue, character creation, and the development of original scripts. Students will read exemplary plays, complete writing exercises, and create short scenes that explore narrative and dramatic form. Emphasis is placed on writing for the stage as a live medium, considering both literary and performative elements. Prerequisite: ENG 0101 : College Composition
