Fall 3 Credit Hours The course is an analysis of the policies, services, treatment modalities, and related intervention processes related to mental disorders and related healthcare services. The purpose of the course is to familiarize the student with mental health, the various treatment modes and the policies that have directly and indirectly contributed to the continuation and growth need for mental and behavioral health services. Students will develop knowledge and skills required to understand biopsychosocial dimensions of mental health and best practices for mental and behavioral health service delivery. Prerequisite: Completion of 75 credit hours (undergraduate and/or graduate), cumulative GPA of 3.0, and permission from the instructor. This graduate-level course may meet concurrently with an undergraduate course SW392, but students may not enroll in both the undergraduate and graduate courses simultaneously. Undergraduate students who enroll in the graduate course must have instructor permission and are required to complete all the graduate coursework. Undergraduate students may be able to count hours toward a graduate degree (but this is not guaranteed)
