F, S, SU 3 Credit Hours Thesis in SRM I is the first component for Sport and Recreation Management master’s students who choose the thesis option for their graduate capstone. This is an integrative course in which the students are expected to apply the research methods and subject matter learned in previous courses in the program to write the first three chapters (i.e., introduction, literature review, and methods) of an original research paper pertinent to the discipline of SRM. The course must be scheduled as a capstone project and taken one semester before the student’s final semester enrolled in the program. By the end of this course, the student should complete the initial preparation of a research prospectus. Prerequisite: EDUC 650
