Catalog description

Fall 3 Credit Hours Examines development from conception to late childhood, focusing on physical, cognitive, and social-emotional changes in infants and children Students will explore major development theories, research methodologies, and the role of empirical evidence in shaping our understanding of this developmental period. Topics include family, peers, and cultural influences, as well as current issues affecting children’s development. The course emphasizes both normative developmental patterns and individual differences. Prerequisite: PSY 100 with minimum grade of ‘C’. No credit will be given if PSY 205 has been completed Prerequisite: PSY 0100 with minimum grade of ‘C’. No credit will be given if PSY 0205 has been completed
