Fall, Spring 4 Credit Hours This course focuses on public health nursing using an upstream approach when working with aggregates and communities in the organization and setting of health policy. The course will build upon learned concepts of evidence-based practice to include essential components of healthier environments and equitable health care. Social determinants of health are a central focus of this course. Prerequisites: admittance to the RN to BSN nursing program, minimum GPA of 2.8, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Missouri OR compact state, Pre-requisite nursing courses as listed in the admission section of the catalog; NURS 431 and NURS 437 and NURS 444 and NURS 451 and NURS 458 all with a grade of ‘C’ or higher
