Catalog description

This course investigates the relationships between architecture and technology and, as a consequence, architecture's impact on modern culture and society. Topics include; the industrial revolution, housing styles, new materials, Bauhaus and international style, and post-modern architecture. A field trip to Chicago is an integral part of the course.
