Catalog description

Students will learn the conceptual tools & skills for reflection on the ethical, social, and philosophical dimensions of life in a technological society. Topics covered might include: energy technologies and policy, innovation and well-being, philosophy of engineering, artificial intelligence, information ethics, cybernetics, technological unemployment, human enhancement and biotechnology, posthumanism, and others. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or above.
