Survey of Calculus

Catalog description

A survey of derivatives, optimization, exponential and logarithmic functions, integration, multivariate functions, partial derivatives, and Lagrange multipliers with applications in business, economics, and biology. This course is not appropriate for engineering or physical science majors. May not be used as a prerequisite for Math 1215. Prerequisites: A grade of "C" or better in either Math 1120, Math 1140, or Math 1210; or by placement exam.
