Catalog description

Costume Design Studio is a semester-long exploration of the processes and techniques used for the development of character design within the context of live production. The disciplines of collaboration, conceptualization, and communication are studied, discussed, and evaluated throughout the course as fundamental components of potentially successful costume design. Theoretical design projects will emphasize problem-solving skills. In Class Studio Sessions, students will develop text and character analysis, research strategies, clear and efficient presentation skills, and graphic skills.
