Catalog description

Learning activities in 7434L are designed to complement didactic instruction from the 7434 course and allow students to apply knowledge in real or simulated compounding environments. In 7434L, students will compound, appropriately dispense, and educate patients on extemporaneous non-sterile preparations. Students will also demonstrate proper aseptic technical skills to compound sterile preparations for safe and effective use and verify accuracy of preparations. Students are required to be able to utilize pharmaceutical calculations as covered in the Pharmacy 7110 course.
