Catalog description

As pharmacists assume the role of medication expert, they must evaluate the reliability of information to effectively implement the pharmacists’ patient care process (PCPP). Drug information is relevant in assessing, planning, implementing, and following up on a therapeutic plan within the PCPP. Throughout the course series, students will use a rigorous five-step systematic methodology assisting them with integrating this process into multidisciplinary healthcare decision-making for improved patient care. Evidence-Based Medicine II reviews foundational concepts from Evidence-Based Medicine I and incorporates the final three steps of this process: Evaluate Literature, Categorize Quality of Evidence, and Develop a Conclusion and Recommendation.
